Last week we had our "make-up class" kayaking lesson, and I'm happy to report, the wind was pretty mild and nobody fell in the bay. We loved it, and definitely have plans for more.
They offered us a double kayak, and we got all situated. Then they told us it was fondly called the Divorce Boat, due to couples winding up in a fight over who's paddling off rhythm. That in itself was pretty funny, if you know the story of our early years of marriage! I am happy to report there were no boating arguments. We had a fantastic time! The water was so peaceful. We paddled past our dog-walking date trail, our favorite coffee shop, our favorite condo and pool, and down to some lounging seals. Then, as seems to be standard on most of our little dates, we drove to REI to pretend-shop for everything we needed/wanted for kayaking. Sometimes we pretend-shop for hiking or camping. (And sometimes when Frank isn't there, I don't pretend. Shh.)
