This weekend Jenson adopted this cute man, Brodie. It was in lieu of the brother he keeps asking for, which is so not going to happen. So we waited until we returned from vacation, and started to look. (It took all of 4 days.)
Some crazy person abandoned this adorable dog! He is pretty much perfect, with just a couple bad habits we'll need to train out of him. He's a 2 year old mutt, probably a mix of long-haired dachsund and pomeranian, and he looks like a shrunken down golden retriever sort of, like a permanent puppy. Then again, I know nothing about dogs, so that could all be made up.
I saw him last week at the shelter, while he was in a back outdoor holding area for stray dogs that aren't able to be released yet. He dug under a fence to get closer to us, and we called Frank to come from work to see him through the fences because we were already in love. We stalked him until the minute (seriously) he was evaluated and ready for adoption. Surprisingly he was already neutered when they examined him, so within fifteen minutes of meeting him, we packed him up and took him home.
{A crummy photo, but gives an idea of his size.}

PS- We just found the first casualty, Mady's severed flip-flop. Jenson had to ante up $5 for it, and all is well. (I am charging way more than $5 if he chews mine!)
