you get money for the state - lucky you! Do you have to jump through hopes to prove to them you're kids are meeting their standards?

I so want to home school my kids but do NOT have any support from family or friends. I have been told if any one could do it then it would be me. My oldest had to be put into private school and my youngest starts kindergarden in the fall. I can't afford 2 in private school so we would have to sell our home to get into a better school district. I don't think will happen. Any advice on getting support? Love your blog!

I love it when you post these unit studies! They are so inspiring! And we love the Disney version of Little House too- we randomly found it at the library a few months ago and I was surprised at how well it stuck to the original story. It was really well done!

Missing you...

I came across a copy of the movie at our library and grabbed it along with a short children's biography book about Laura's life. We started the movie last night and the kids are totally into it. We watched the first disc and they were begging to start the second...just a little bit they kept saying. It was after 9pm! I told them we'd finish it up the next night! Its done really well. Enough to keep both children and adults engaged.

I'm Shawn...

  • I love my life! I have three zippy kids, an amazing husband, and charming friends and family. I strive to be like the Proverbs 31 woman, but could use a whole lot of improvement. :) I love helping people meet their health and financial goals as an AdvoCare advisor! (And to keep it real... there's probably a big pile of laundry needing to be folded and crumbs on the floor, but I do love my life!)

We LOVE, love this:
