We have been immersed in a unit study of birds. Today, it culminated into a beautiful afternoon with sweet friends. We wore our bird finery, made canvas collages, ate nests for lunch, had origami lessons, and disected owl pellets.
Things you should know: needle felting was not intended for anyone not old enough to cross the street alone, owl pellets are really stinky, and pretending you are a bird and slurping up worms is pretty funny. I'll be sharing all about our bird unit in the upcoming week, including some ideas to make it easy to do yourself in the future.

What is that bone in our leg that has a stringy thing on it, again? Oh my stars! Is that an eyeball???
I would go to a party at your house ANY day.

Looks like a great day & experience! Kind of gross too. can you tell me more about how you put together the canvas collages? They look gorgeous; I'd like to do something like that with my girls.

Your party looks like it was so much fun! Two of my favorite mama friends + all their littles? Sounds quite perfect actually! :)
